We expect you to join for a minimum period of 6 months, but preferable for a longer period (e.g. 1 year).

We understand that there might arise the situation when you want to drop out of our programme. We would appreciate it if you could please give us at least 1 month notice. This period will allow us to find a suitable replacement for your collection route.

Being part of our team requires you to stick to our Code of Conduct

• Be polite and friendly at all times,

• Do not show disappointment, even when the collected bread quantity is little.

• If approached by anybody, please explain our scheme and

• How we try to brighten the days of some Less Fortunate with extra supplements.

As a volunteer for Food from the Heart you are being responsible for the collected bread reaching the assigned destination. Our organization guarantees the participating stores that the donated bread will never be resold or used for other purposes than as donations to homes.

Your first priority should be food safety. Always ensure that the wrapping of the bread is in order and that the bread stays sealed. In case there is an accident, when bread is contaminated, you are obliged to destroy the bread and immediately inform the headquarters.
